In April 2024, Ather Energy introduced the Rizta, a family-oriented electric scooter designed to blend practicality with innovation. Departing from the sporty aesthetics of the Ather 450 series, the Rizta emphasizes comfort, utility, and inclusivity, making it an ideal choice for Indian families.​

Design & Build: Comfort Meets Practicality

The Ather Rizta showcases a sleek yet robust design, prioritizing rider comfort and convenience. With a seat height of 780 mm and a spacious seat accommodating up to three slim adults, it ensures a comfortable ride for families. The scooter offers an impressive 34-liter under-seat storage, suitable for daily essentials like groceries and helmets. Its 12-inch alloy wheels, paired with MRF Zapper tubeless tires, provide stability and grip on various road conditions.

Variants & Pricing

The Rizta is available in two primary variants:​

  • Rizta S: Equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery, offering a range of 123 km.​
  • Rizta Z: Comes with two battery options
  • 2.9 kWh battery, similar to the S variant.
  • 3.7 kWh battery, extending the range up to 160 km.​

  • Rizta S: ₹1,09,999​
  • Rizta Z (2.9 kWh): ₹1,26,499
  • Rizta Z (3.7 kWh): ₹1,46,499

Performance & Range

Powered by a 4.3 kW PMSM motor, the Rizta delivers a top speed of 80 km/h. The 2.9 kWh battery variant takes approximately 6.4 hours to fully charge, while the 3.7 kWh version charges in about 4.5 hours. These specifications make the Rizta suitable for daily commutes and short trips around the city.

Features & Technology

The Rizta is equipped with a 7-inch TFT touchscreen dashboard running on AtherStack 6, an Android Open Source Project-based system. It offers features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and supports multiple regional languages. The scooter also includes a USB charging port, LED lighting, and a combined braking system with front disc and rear drum brakes for enhanced safety. ​
