The Ampere Nexus, introduced by Greaves Electric Mobility, marks a significant advancement in India’s electric scooter landscape. Designed as a high-performance family scooter, the Nexus combines cutting-edge technology, robust performance, and user-centric features, all while being entirely developed and manufactured in India.​

⚡ Performance and Powertrain

At the heart of the Ampere Nexus lies a 4 kW mid-mounted motor, delivering a top speed of 93 km/h. This motor is paired with a 3 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its safety and longevity. The scooter boasts a certified range of 136 km on a single charge, making it suitable for daily commutes and longer rides alike. Charging is efficient, with the battery reaching full capacity in approximately 3.3 hours.​

The Nexus is equipped with Nex.IO, a proprietary operating system that powers its 7-inch touchscreen display. This system offers a dynamic user interface with features like turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The display is designed for quick boot times, ensuring riders have immediate access to essential information.​

Drawing inspiration from the Arctic Tern, known for its extensive migratory patterns, the Nexus embodies both elegance and endurance. The scooter features diamond-cut LED headlamps and uniquely designed tail lamps for enhanced visibility. Its spacious design includes an XXL boot space capable of accommodating an XL helmet, and a front trunk (frunk) for additional storage. Premium touches like piano-finish buttons and seamless surfaces add to its aesthetic appeal.​

Safety is paramount in the Nexus, which comes with front disc and rear drum brakes for reliable stopping power. The scooter offers multiple riding modes — Eco, City, Power, Limp Home, and Reverse — allowing riders to tailor performance to their needs. Its 16° gradeability ensures the Nexus can handle inclines with ease, making it versatile for various terrains.​

🎨 Variants and Pricing

The Ampere Nexus is available in two variants: EX and ST. The EX variant starts at ₹1,09,900, while the ST variant is priced at ₹1,14,900 (ex-showroom). Both variants come in four striking colors: Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey, allowing riders to choose a style that suits their personality.​
